Experienced as a Tax Advisor in body of a car, automotive, and e-retail companies. I am familiar with matters concerning Income tax, value added tax and international tax in all lines of business.

My role as a Tax allows me to learn and gain a lot of knowledge about taxation.

In 2015, I joined Mitra Pinashtika Mustika Auto (Dealership Nissan and Datsun) which is a subsidiary of the MPMX group (PT Mitra Pinasthika Mustika Tbk) part of Saratoga Investama Sedaya. I joined the company to support the finance team in building efficiency in terms of taxation and properly administering tax documents. I and my colleagues assist in solving tax audit problems in the context of requesting a refund for the company's annual tax excess.

In 2018, I was promoted and transferred to Mitra Pinasthika Mustika Rent Group (a vehicle rental company, outsourcing, auction, used vehicle sales) which is a subsidiary of the MPMX Group. I joined the company quite briefly and I didn't change much at that time. However, I have learned many lessons and one of them is that I contributed in the event that our tax authority received a request for tax-exempt information on Article 23 and Article 25.

At the end of 2018, I was asked by my former CFO to help the company that oversees it, namely Eurokars Group Indonesia. I contributed well to this company in a short time without any handover of positions and jobs by previous tax employees. In first year, I administered well the corporate tax work. In second year, I started contributing to tax audits due to a request for a refund of the company's annual tax overpayment. In my third year I was promoted as Assistant Tax Manager to assist and manage the Tax Compliance of Group Companies.

In Early 2022, I was asked to join GoToko, an end-to-end e-B2B digital commerce platform connecting brands and traditional underserved retailers by my former manager. I help and contribute in handling Tax Compliance, especially in terms of Income Tax and International Taxes.

• PostingPosting There are still many overseas companies who do not understand about tax deductions and the requirements to be able to use tax treaty facilities because they transact and earn income from Indonesia.Below are some of the questions that some overseas companies might ask:1. Are overseas companies included in the tax subjects described by UU number 36 of 2008? On the explanation of law number 36 of 2008 article 2 paragraph 4. The term “non-resident tax payer” means:b. Any individual who does not reside in Indonesia, has been present in Indonesia for not more than 183 (one hundred and eighty-three) days within any 12 (twelve) months period, and any entity which is established outside Indonesia and is not domiciled in Indonesia, which may receive or accrue income from Indonesia other than from conducting business or carrying out activities through permanent establishment.2. Why is the withholding tax borne by the vendor?In accordance with the object, this tax deduction is withholding tax from income. And those who receive income must be subject to withholding tax as referred to in UU number 36 of 2008 article 4 paragraph 1.“Taxable Object is income, which is defined as any increase in economics capacity received by or accrued by a Taxpayer from Indonesia as well as from offshore, which may be utilized for consumption or increasing the taxpayer’s wealth, in whatever name and form.”3. Why do you have to deduct 20% tax?In accordance with UU number 36 of 2008 in article 26 paragraph 1. “The following income, in whatever name and form, paid, apportioned to be paid, or on the due date of payment by a government institution, resident taxable entity, a person who organizes activities, permanent establishment, or a representatives of a non-resident company to a non-resident Taxpayer other than a permanent establishment in Indonesia, shall be subject to withholding tax of 20% (twenty percent) of the gross income” 4. Why not use the tax treaty rules regarding the avoidance of double taxation between Indonesia and my country?If a non-resident company (vendor) can provide DGT and CoR (Certificate of Residence) /TRC (Tax Residency Certificate), the regulation that will be used is a tax treaty between Indonesia and your country.But if they can’t provide DGT and CoR/TRC, then the regulation is considered irrelevant and can’t be used. The CoR/TRC is needed to ensure that the vendor has been declared domiciled in the country and the statement must be issued from the competent authority in your country in the form of a CoR/TRC.
